Going home, June-July 2004

Cousins!

The boys are going for a ride

"So I sez to Mabel..."

"I sez, Mabel..."

"Heh, you told her!"

Swimming! We ended up removing the diapers, only to have Lainie poop in the pool (highly amusing to Ciaran, who told everyone he saw about it for days afterwards). Luckily WIllow and Luke had had enough by then and were out of the water already...

All together, trying to get a nice picture for Oma and Opa of everyone, which was nearly impossible as Ciaran didn't want to take pictures and the babies kept crawling in different directions...

Happy birthday, Daddy!

Mmmm, cake...

Ciars went on his first rides in Pt. Pleasant... the roller coaster was the biggest hit but the Crazy Bus was pretty cool too.

A visit with our favorite author, Ms Holly Black

Swimming with Gigi and Joey. Ciars was phenomenally rude to them so we ended up cutting it short, which was sad as I hadn't seen Sue since before Joey was born!

Megan (the Margaret in Willow Margaret) and Rachel and I have been friends since 1980. Scary to think we met when we were the age of our oldest kids now...

Willow at the new fountain on the TCNJ campus. We went to have lunch with Papa and marvel at the changes on campus. We also visited both my old bosses from the library.

At Blackberry Park, which has animals and a carousel and other amusements. The bunny here saved the day by jollying Ciars out of his grumpies.

A train ride, complete with engineer's hat and lollipop, rounds out the day.

He liked it so much we went around twice.

Willow loved it too, especially petting the goats and the carousel.

Playground! See this pic to see how much Ciars has grown.

And one just so we can track her progress later too.

Ciaran's talking to his (imaginary) "brother Sue" on Daddy's cell phone, as we realized we had "left him behind" in NJ and he was worried he wouldn't find us at Oma and Opa's.

He was wearing a curly dark-haired wig as well, but wouldn't wear it for the picture. Which is a damn shame, was we nearly peed ourselves laughing at him when he appeared from the basement wearing all that.

The weather was mostly beautiful.

Peekaboo! Willow loved this chair for some reason.

All together!

Ed still has not made buttons.
